Braised Lamb Shoulder with Creamy Polenta and Smashed Minted Peas

As the season shifts to Autumn and the weather begins to cool, it's time to think about introducing some comfort food to your table. Recently I hosted a lunch for a dear friend's birthday, she's of Italian heritage and appreciates the love and generosity that can be conveyed through food.

The Old Schoolhouse, Milton NSW

The Old Schoolhouse, Milton NSW

Recently we spent three days and two nights staying at The Old Schoolhouse Milton and it was delightful. The Old Schoolhouse is an historic home well known in the district, set on two and a half acres of tranquil lawns and orchard with rural views in all directions. The old schoolhouse itself is long gone, but the historic Schoolmaster’s residence remains.

Battered Flathead with Kale and Carrot Slaw

Battered Flathead with Kale and Carrot Slaw

Mr G caught flathead in numerous places on our road trip adventures - we were flat-out eating flathead. Although we don’t all have a citrus tree or two in our front or backyard, no doubt you know someone who does and so often there is an excess of fruit available beyond the needs of the average household.

Our Delicious Adventure - Recipes and Stories of Food and Travel

Two advance copies of my new baby ‘Our Delicious Adventure – Recipes and Stories of Food and Travel’ arrived at my front door this week. It’s a moment I’ve waited for for months, feelings of both excitement and trepidation intertwined as I opened the package, all the while wondering will it be all I have hoped for.
