'Tis the season to stop!

'Tis the season to stop!

'Tis the season to stop!
It's been quite the year 2016, boxes are ticked with the second cookbook on the shelves and our final child finished school, but I'm ending it all just a little weary. It seems when you burn the candle at both ends for a whole year, you eventually run out of wax - I think I'm going to fall over the finish line at the end of this week and then proceed to lay horizontal for quite some time. I'm so thankful for what's been done and just as thankful to have the chance to stop.

An Afternoon Tea In My Garden!

An Afternoon Tea In My Garden!

We baked our little socks off today....but not before we gobbled up a late breakfast of poached eggs, tomato and sourdough. Coupled with endless chatter, shared laughter and deep discussions between Michelle and I, on the journey of writing recipes and books. Following the coast road literally along the edge of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel, we passed through the small towns of Woodbridge, Birchs Bay and Flowerpot.

Bruny Island, Tasmania

Bruny Island, Tasmania

Things begin to get even more remote when you camp on Bruny Island, an island off the east coast of Tasmania (also an island and one of the seven states of Australia). Bruny Island runs along the south-eastern coast of Tasmania and is separated from mainland Tasmania by the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Bruny (as the locals call it) is a dreamy place where you really can ‘get away from it all’ and live according to ‘Bruny time’.
