Join me in my Palm Beach Kitchen, for a series of relaxed and enriching conversations with inspiring authors. Having published two of my own cookbooks, and discovered a love for the written word, and for sharing stories with friends, I delight in introducing you to many other clever authors and what they have created.
Surrounded by freshly baked treats and oodles of cups of tea, we have been privileged to hear from creative cooks, writers, people of culture, poets and artists. Stories about the twists and turns of both their life, passion and writings. Each event includes afternoon tea, a conversation, and a signed copy of the author’s book. Join me for a delightful afternoon with acclaimed chef & cookbook author Danielle Alvarez, as we celebrate her second cookbook Recipes for a Lifetime of Beautiful Cooking. Danielle spent time working in the kitchens of The French Laundry & Chez Panisse in California, Fred's in Paddington and now works as the Culinary Director of the Event spaces at the Sydney Opera House.
Danielle's thoughtful recipes, wisdom, and whimsy offer the foundations for a lifetime of joy and nourishment, this book is dedicated to her favourite way of cooking: at home, for and with friends and family.

Join me for a very special Afternoon Tea with An Author with Alice Achan and Philippa Tyndale, as we launch their remarkable book 'The School of Restoration'. In the words of Tim Costello AO ~ "Beyond inspiring… this story of the redeeming power of educating girls and the restoration of traumatised lives is beautiful. The impact will be immeasurable." From my end of course there will be tea, scones and a fabulous, fluffy Victoria sponge for such company. The sun came out, and so did a delightful bunch of guests, as we launched our first ever Afternoon Tea with an Author in my Palm Beach Kitchen. I have hosted a few of these events over the years in my previous home, each time inviting a clever author to come and share their story in a relaxed and delicious way. So, I was truly wrapped to see such enthusiasm recently, when tickets sold out for our Springtime Afternoon Tea with Artist & Poet Annette Kelsey. Here's a little snapshot for those of you who missed out this time round!
What a delightfully warm month May has been, with the summery weather lingering on right throughout Autumn. Now, somewhat unbelievably we are just days away from Winter time, right on cue a cold wind arrived this morning as predicted and we've since had just a little, welcome rain falling on my garden. As I sit here at my kitchen table writing this newsletter, the wood fire crackling away in the living room, I'm so incredibly grateful how fortunate we were yesterday, to enjoy such brilliant sunshine for the Tea & Cake In My Garden with Sophie Hansen Event.
