On the second weekend in October 2012, we officially launched my first cookbook, Naked Food the way food was meant to be! It was a wonderful celebration with two very fun and special events planned. The Sydney launch was at Agape Organic Restaurant & Bar in Botany, NSW, on the Saturday afternoon and then the local Northern Beaches launch was held in our home garden on the Sunday afternoon.
How wonderful it was to celebrate the culmination of much hard work, with the Naked Food production team, my family, industry colleagues and old and new friends. Here's a sneak peak at the Saturday afternoon High Tea at Agape Organic Restaurant, with lovely food by Executive Chef Simon Lawson and gorgeous styling by Restaurant manager Lyn Yu. The following day we enjoyed an afternoon in our front garden, with lots of friends and people who had attended my cooking classes and market tours attending. We also had the great pleasure of listening to Toni Salter aka The Veggie Lady, share her top tips for establishing your own backyard vegetable garden.
It was an opportunity to pick up pre-ordered copies of Naked Food and have the book signed, whilst enjoying a simple afternoon tea of chicken sandwiches, Beef and Vegetable Rolls (Recipe see page 151 of the book), fresh fruit and Rosnay Organic Sparkling Chardonnay. To finish the afternoon I took the children visiting, into my veggie patch to harvest some potatoes and onions, which was such fun. A big THANK YOU to all that attended either event over the weekend, joining us in celebrating the launch (birth) of my fourth child, aka Naked Food!
